I used to enjoy the Flyers at Phunfest until "the snappers" started taking things way too seriously. I might ride once but I'd rather be playing Fascination or riding Phoenix.
Absolutely! Just spent a week there and FINALLY remembered on our last day someone on here suggesting Fascination, what a hoot! I've been going to this park for 11 years, 4-6 times each year and never walked in the place. My loss.
Moosh, there are some on here who feel the Phoenix is overhyped but it makes me smile every time I ride it and that is all I ask of my coasters.

I love Fascination, but it's hard to enjoy it anywhere else after being spoiled by Flipper's in Wildwood.
It seemed as though we sucked at it but still had a great time. Since my 'shore' of choice is Wildwood I'll have to try it there sometime also.
Please accept my personal invitation to make plans to attend "Ridefest" at Lakemont Park in Altoona, PA, always held the day after the event at Knoebel's.
This year's Ridefest will be held on Sunday, October 5th from 11AM - 5PM. In addition to the Skyliner and Leap The Dips, there will be several other rides open as well as miniature golf, the arcade, a great lunch at The Casino next door and door prizes.
The event is a "private" function and attracts only about 100 - 150 guests each year and it would be GREAT to see a few more people enjoy the park that day!
Give it a thought, especially if you are traveling home to the Pittsburgh area or points west of Altoona as you will be "driving right by".
Hope to see you here.

One of the trains is sitting on the tracks in the station, another is sitting in car sections on the station platform, and another is in pieces in the storage area along the road behind the coaster. I do actually have pictures of the coaster and a few of the cars.

By the way, riding the Phoenix in the dark is awesome. I may not have ridden it at PPP (I really hope to go to it sometime maybe next year or year after that), but I did get the last ride of the night on it and they turned out the lights on it. It wasn't until last week that I realized how great that coaster was. *** Edited 8/16/2008 8:06:54 PM UTC by Ccron10***

Hmmm, might be time to make sure I've got a place to stay and book the annual phall phlight to PA... ;)
You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)
Just got back from Knoebels and the turns were testing this weekend. But not any word around of status.
The flyers were insane Saturday. I got some of my best rides ever. Phoenix seems to be running better also. Can't wait for Phunfest!
My back is telling me I am not as young as I used to be.

Good times! Between Phoenix, Flyers, and the hardest-hitting Bumper Cars in the US, my lower back always hurts upon returning from Knoebels. The last two years, I've even done back-to-backs with two days at my home park. ;)
On the eighth day, God created anti-inflammatory and analgesic medications... ;) :)

If you're going to PPP and live west of Knoebels, Ridefest makes for a great Sunday afternoon. As Barry said, the park is lightly attended and that means plenty of rides on LTD and the very-underrated Skyliner. It's a challenge for me because I live east of Knoebels and going to Lakemont on Sunday means a long ride home, but if it's convenient for some of you, I suggest you look into it. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
