Phantom's Revenge trains on-site at Kennywood

Posted | Contributed by GregLeg

On Monday, Kennywood PR directory Mary Lou Rosemeyer was kind enough to take some coaster fans on another site tour. The highlight of the tour was the new trains, which had arrived that morning (Mary Lou herself hadn't even seen them yet).

Pictures from this tour have been posted at GregLeg's site.

They look fine to me. I'am with Jeff on this one. I thought Kennywood would get the normal "Yugo" box design from Morgan. I cant wait to ride this thing!
First rule of coasters... NEVER say "No chance for a rollback" .. Look at Mantis at CP.. Only took till the 6th season for it's first rollback.. but it happened ;)

MF 2000 - 269 laps

MF 2001 - Double digits already and it's only the second day of the season... :)

I don't find the trains that offensive, especially when you consider they have to work with Arrow looper chassis. What else could you really do with them?

Hmmm... strapping lawn chairs to the frame like an Intamin train would have been better.

Cmon people, just be happy they didnt put the Morgan Minivans on it. I think they look really cool and retro.
raptorfan00: I went to west. that was quite a long time ago. About 13 years since I was at west.

I definitely like the looks of those trains! You can really see the Arrow roots in them.
Go Morgan!!Those restraints are better then Arrows!
What's a rollback?
yeah i'm going to kennywood the 25th (may) and i think that the phantom revenge is probaly going to be very crouded cause in my school there 2100 kids goin i think maybe not everyone goin? i dont care if i have to cut everyone i'm gonna ride the first bathtub rollercoaster %)
All this talk about bathtubs reminds me of the flume boat that Mack had on display at IAAPA in 1999. That thing looked like a bathtub (complete with showerhead and Fiberglas towel). With that in mind, Phantom's new train doesn't look at all like a bathtub. :)
