Kennywood has been offering "make good" admissions and tickets to compensate for the closed Thunderbolt and Phantom's Revenge. Phantom will finally open this Sunday to the public.
Oh yea, I'm sure Kennywood won't be crowded or anything. How long could the wait be? Maybe 6 or 7 hours?

When is the T-Bolt going to open?

I saw that the official opening would be on Sunday, but it was opening today at www.kpunlimited.com and I wanted to find out about Thunderbolt and if Phantom's Revenge was open for sure. I called Kennywood and the lady said Phantom's Revenge is open and "Thunderbolt will not be open for a while." I'm trying to plan a trip now, I think I may hold off to go for when Thunderbolt opens.
Great news! But when is Thunderbolt going to open? I'am making my first trip to Kennywood on June the 11th. I will be highly disappointed if I dont get to ride the Thunderbolt.
According to Mary Lou Rosemyer, the park's Public Relations person, there is really no set date for T-Bolt's opening as still some engineering things have to be completed with it. Prob it would open in the middle of the day again unexpected like PR lol
What a bad break. Can you imagine only having one coaster to ride (nothing against The Racer though)? And we complain when one coaster out of a multitude are closed.
I should have pictures of PR running Sunday night. I was planning on heading up after work to ride it, and the magazine that is publishing a few of my pictures asked for a few of PR running, I can't wait to see it. :)
