Phantom's Revenge Observation

I was at Kennywood yesterday and I noticed something odd about the paint job of Phatom's Revenge. The green color is very different from the Arrow track to the Morgan track. The arrow track is much more of a lime green, while the Morgan is more blueish. It is most noticeable when you are on the bridge in the que.

Anybody have a clue why these are so different?
I was under the impression that it was all Morgan track, and they took down all the Arrow track, and just had it replaced with nearly-identical Morgan. Oh well.
Do you have any pics of what you mean with the color difference? And I bet if it is different, and there is Arrow track on (I thought there wasn't) it's probably caused by old paint underneath showing up a little bit, or something like that (ie: not enough primer).

Next up: Stupid human tricks! Followed by: Stupid pet tricks!
Why can that never happen?
Man, I should have looked for that when I was there! Oh well, I can tell you that it does not really stand out b/c I didn't even notice it, but it may be there.

Kennywood left the first two hills completely untouched except for a new paint job (black supports and green track). After the apex of the second hill, the track changes from Arrow to Morgan. Here's a good picture of the transition:

There is definately Arrow track on PR. The lift hill to a little ways down the 2nd drop is all Arrow track still.

As far as the paint job, it isnt noticeable in the pictures I have seen. I will look for it though when I make my first trip to Kennywood in 2 weeks! I cant wait! Although I'am extremely disappointed that the Thunderbolt will not be open :(

I would think there is a difference in the paint jobs because the Arrow track was painted on-site and the Morgan track was painted at the manufacturing facility. The paints were from different buckets. Plus the Arrow track's new paint job has weathered the whole winter.

Ow! My lap bar IS down all the way.
Well, a fair amount of the Morgan track had to sit out in the elements as well.

They were painted in 2 different places, with 2 different mixes of paint. Yes, it is noticeable, but only if you're really looking for it. Good eye!

Could you describe the ruckus?
Yeah I really didn't notice too much...you have to look prety hard. The total cost of renovating PR was 7 million, compared to building the entire Steel Phantom for only 4.5 million. Amazing how costs go up in about 10 years. For only adding 365 feet of track on to the 3,000 feet of track, 7 million is somewhat expensive.
