Phantom's Revenge Cards?

I read in the paper that you will recieve a card when you ride PR that will track how many times you ride it. It says that every trip adds credits that makes you eligible for prizes. I just wanted to know if anybody knows how the system will work. Will you just run your card through a scanner?
I heard about this today at Knoebels from Gregleg. I think this is very cool. I imangine it would be like a credit card that you just flash in front of a box exiting the ride.

At the one job I worked at we used cards like thih to let us thru the gate. You didn't have to swipe a card thru a thing like a stor just hold it up. I'm guessing Kennywood would use somthing like that.

Not Too Shabby For A Summer
I think this is a really, really, really (that's three really's!) cool idea. Innovative, too, as I don't think I've ever seen it at any other parks.

Apparently you can win prizes after riding PR x-amount of times... I mean, as if riding PR itself wasn't a prize! ;)

Read about it here: http://www.post-gazette.com/businessnews/20010428phantom1.asp

(Note: This might be "news"-worthy. We'll see.)

What kind of prizes are we talking about. Like a free pop at Kennywood, ride tickets, or like a free admission?
I've heard caps and t-shirts, actually.

Also, for those who care, I understand Kennywood will be giving free admission passes while Phantom's Revenge and Thunderbolt are down. I'm not exactly sure if they're free admission to the park or "up the exit ramp" passes, but nonetheless, that's great!

There are 4 prize levels for PR riding when you use this "frequent rider" type of card... they are at levels of 4 rides. I'm not sure what 4, 8, or 12 get you, but if you ride 16 times throughout the summer, you get entered in a drawing for an all-expenses trip to EuroDisney (or is that Disneyland Paris now?)

If you go to the park while both PR and T-bolt are down, they're giving away free GENERAL ADMISSION passes for any weekday in July along with two coupons for free rides on the coaster of your choice. You still have to stand in line, though. I imagine the exit line would be as long as the entrance line if that were not the case.
