Phantom's Revenge: 4 tickets?

What's up with that?

I assume it means that the ride costs four tickets to ride.

You can PPR or POP. Each ride is between 1-4 tickets. Tickets are 60 cents.

Exactly. Kennywood sells a General Admission entry as well as a Ride All Day. If you take the General Admission ($7.50), rides cost 1-4 tickets, at $0.60 each. It's usually worth just taking the Ride All Day, but some people who aren't big riders take the GA. I've used it to grab a few rides at night after work.

And if the question is,. "Why is it only 4 tickets when Steel Phantom was 6 or 7" (or whatever it was), it is because the ticket price was significantly increased this year, so all the rides take fewer tickets.

Tickets last year were 25 cents. This year, they were 60 cents. That's why last year it was 7 tickets for the Steel Phantom ($1.75) and this year, it's "only" 4 tickets for the Phantom's Revenge. ($2.40)

It looks better saying 4 tickets than 10. You can actually charge more for the tickets, and make everything look cheaper.

BTW, in case you think that that's expensive for a ride, when I was in Blackpool it was the equivalent of almost $7 to ride PepsiMax:TBO. Not only that, but they didn't even offer a ride-all-day.

How much does the ride all day ticket cost?

$20.95 on weekdays, $25.95 on weekends.

That's really not too bad. $7.50 + 20.95 on a weekday is only about $29.00 and most park admissions are $35-$45 bucks.

It's not $7.50 + $20.95... the GA is included in the Ride All Day pass. It's $20.95 total.
