PGA, New ride for '06?

I've been on Grizzly a number of times and ride it again just because I can't believe it was as bad as I remember it it always amazes me how bad it is. Take everything that's fun about a coaster, of course this is relative but what's generally considered fun and throw it out the window and there's Grizzly.

It seems like it could have been designed to be a mellow family coaster but the thing really hurts to ride, like fillings rattle out. My female co rider complained that her boobs were about to fall off and hurt.

Also I love wood and really don't mind trading in some pain for a thrilling ride...but this is pain with no return on my investment. It's not wood but even SFGadv Viper had some cool elements that came with the pain. I've never been on Grizzly east but hear it's better than this!

I haven't been on Grizzly, but to those who have ridden it and Hercules @ Dorney Park - how does Grizzly rate (in terms of pain) to the former Hercules?

Two different kinds of suck, Tim.

Hercules actually had some redeeming qualities though. I rather enjoyed Herc, but there is virtually nothing to enjoy about Grizzly west.

PGA leaked out some concept art for Survivor:The Ride:

Too bad the background landscaping won't look anything like that, but this gives a good idea of how it will look overall and where it'll load.

Survivor:The Ride is a new version of the Zamperla Disk'o with a speed bump in the middle. I love was all explained to ACE's eastcoaster attendees.

If that ISN'T one of the new "Disk'O Coasters" (whatever they're calling them, LOL), then I must have missed something in Coaster101... ;)

Oops, guess I spent too much time *drooling*....might have to give that park another chance... ;)

Could they come up with anything more lame than to theme a ride after a reality show?

Lol, 8.3. Agreed...

When are we going to debate if it's a coaster or not?

Hymmm...is it a coaster or not?

I hate political debates! ;)

Dweaver (I can't believe I called the "survivor" theme several months ago) ;)

At Eastcoaster, they explained the interactive part as sort of a competition between the people on the ride and the people in line. Supposedly the louder you get the wetter the people in the other spot get, example if the people in the line are loud the people on the ride get soaked.

Watch the tram car please....

Sorry, I'm still irked about the train, triple wheel, and Imax. I'll take my money over the hill to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk (where everybody has a good time!)

Well, their referring to it as a "reality Coaster". The rough sketches show that it is a Disko for sure. But as you read they are incorparating imunity challenges on and off the ride. And the teams will be be able to do things that will cause the other team to get wet, ect.

To me, it looks like the same kind of qualty in theming as TR:TR, just in the form of a Disko.

I'm irked about more than just the train, triple wheel, and Imax janfrederick. ;) Triple Play, Orbit, and just about everything that made the original Great America's great has been removed and paved over.

There's still the reflecting pools and the double-decker carousels, Parker...

And SFGAm still has their Triple Play...well, had... ;)

LMAO! Well it could be worse, it could be "Real World: The Ride!"

Looks rather interesting, though.

If it's anything like Dollywood's DiskO I will love it. :-) That thing was a riot!

So do all the riders get to vote off each other?

Oh...and the music. But then again, after working there six seasons, I can still play every area's soundtrack in my head on cue...or off cue. Damn, the ragtime's stuck again.

Well, if half pipe is a coaster....
