Perfect Music

Does anybody have a "song" that really is perfect for roller coasters? While riding a coaster or not riding a coaster. I think that the Rock'nRoller Coaster has an idea that should be used more often , music, it HAS to add to the experience. My perfect song is BY FAR "Headup" by the Defotnes. You may hate this song, but it is SO perfect for any launched coaster with block brakes and an intense finale. A perfect balance of terror and fun.

Coasters- a little slice of heaven
Music is definantly something that is overlooked too much on coasters. Although Rock'n Rollercoaster is a great ride, the music just makes it that much better. There are about three songs I think would be great for coasters. Although a bit short, the opening theme to Fight Club by the Dust Brothers just screams coaster music (to me atleast), if it could be lengthened I think it would be great. The next two come from The Matrix: the music in the background during the lobby gunfight (by the Propellerheads) and 'Wake Up' by Rage Against the Machine. I would love to ride a coaster to one of those tunes.
Ready to go (republica)
Love rollercoaster (RHCP)

Whose Line is it Anyway?
I'd agree with Hooper on Love Rollercoaster, but what I'm wondering is why don't they play "Kryptonite" by 3 Doors Down on the Superman coasters. The song is an awesome coaster song and would fit perfecty.

You build it, I'll ride it
By far my favorite song to listen to on coasters is Long Way Down by Goo Goo Dolls. Wow, it fits on EVERY coaster, especially SRoS at SFDL and Millennium Force.

"Legend 1 looks too intense for me."
I would have to stick with the classic rock theme and go with anything by BOSTON! The driving guitars and heavy rock beat (especially on their debut album) is great for any coaster. I've actually tried to wear headphones and listen to a walkman on Space Mountain with it. The bad thing was, since it's an indoor ride, everything else was too loud (even with the music cranked). Haven't tried it with any other coasters. Would ride operators force you to take headphones off or has anyone else tried this?

Space Mountain (Disneyland) has a cool soundtrack playing behind your head through the ride, and it makes the ride better. Sometimes it is not going, and the ride seems much slower and not as intense.

As for coaster theme music, I will chime in on Love Rollercoaster, the remake by Red Hot Chili Peppers.

How about movie quotes? Usually at the top of the chain lift, I find myself saying this quote from Aliens, it is during the "combat drop" when the Mariens are landing on LB-426. I think it is the Hudson charictor who yells out "IT'S THE EXPRESS ELEVATOR TO HELL....GOIN' DOWN!! WOOOO HOOO!!" I always loved that scene, Hicks is asleep, and the Lieutennant is about to toss cookies! Just like on a roller coaster!

Gotta ride 'em all!
ummmmmm, I'm goin down down baby,
shimmy shimmy coco puff
"Run Like Hell" from Pink Floyd would have to be my coaster song. It's got a little "break" in the middle of it that would fit perfectly with any coaster with block brakes and an intense ending. Like Raptor or Raging Bull.

"Brak presents the Brak show starring Brak!!!"
Fight Fire With Fire by Metallica would be cool for the Fire Dragon on Dueling Dragons. It starts out slow, then is really fast and hard.

When Worlds Collide by Powerman 5000.....that would be perfect for Dueling Dragons!

Parks for 2000: CP, Great Escape, Great Adventure, SFA, Islands of Adventure, Kennywood
LuvRollerCoaster, and for some reason I think American Bad*** by Kid Rock would be cool for Magnum or Millennium Force
-------------
Magnum-Just Ride It!!!
Forgot one! Metallica's Enter Sandman is perfect for a flat ride (especially if its a spinning ride). Probably would be good for a coaster too.

-------------
"Carpe Crotchum"
-John Keats......never said this
I'd rather hear the ORIGINAL version of "Rollercoaster" than the Red Hot Chilli Peppers version on a coaster.
For the Outer Limits: Flight of Fear how about AC/DC's song "You Shook Me All Night Long". LOL! :) Or for Millennium Force see my quote below.

I agree w/ superbatboy, the Ohio Players LR-C version was much better. However, I think the best ride/song combo would be the Kissimmee Skycoaster and "Free Fallin'" by either the Eagles or Skynard (I can never remember who).
2Hostyl, "Free Fallin" was sung by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. You were probably thinking of "Free Bird" by Skynard.

Well, how about 'Summer Song' by Joe Satriani? I think it'd be great on a coaster....

'Run Like Hell' by Floyd is also a good one.
B-Master: I actually somehow combined the two. It was stuck in my head as just being one song (dont ask why). Anyway, either song would work. Thanks for the clairification
Battery by Metallica for Son of Beast! LOL!
