People Problems!

Quick question....when you guys play RCT2, do the people just walk through the queue like it was a pathway? Is this RCT's version of line jumping? Anything I can do to resolve this? Thanks!

1. Are you sure the queue is constant from the ride entrance to the main path? If not, guests will treat it as if it is anyother path.

2. If you raise the price of the ride too much while peeps are in line, some will step out of line and try to find their way out of the queue. It looks like line jumping, but in reality they are just trying to find their way out.

Other than that, once a person is queued, they won't leave or go past the person in front of them. Except when you close the ride, then they will leave the line as well. I've never seen it happen otherwise. Well, not yet anyway!

Can you give more details?

I've had this problem too. It's just one the many bugs in the game. It seems to me that when this happens there is one guest that becomes bugged and when they get on the ride the queue operates normally. I can't figure how to prevent so I just wait it out.
Yeah & when it does happen it has a ripple effect causing all peeps to leave the queue.

I just shut down the ride & wait tile everyone exits the line & then re-open the ride again as normal & it usually takes care of the problem.

As for peep problems I'm having my own...after creating a new scenario the other day(complete with parking lots) I'm getting peeps in the lot that of course can't access the main gate,I still can get peeps on the regular path to enter the park but want to eliminate the ones in the lot.

I figured out why that's happening...the reason is that I put the last set of road paths on the edge of the map,I'd like to change it to eliminate the extra peeps but can't seem to be able to back track far enough in the editor do it can anyone help?

I don't want to be forced to create the scenario all over again because the landscaping took way too much time to get just the way I want it....now if I'm not mistaken there should be a way to load it back into the editor far enough to where I can change the problem but I can't recall just how to do it right now.

Yep, There is a way. All you do is go to scenario editer and hit "load landscape." You actually load the saved game as a landscape, and you can edit away!

Fate is the path of least resistance.

^ I'm still surprised at how many people never figured that out.

Yeah I finally did that & it fixed the problem but now I ended up accidently moving/deleting my saved game folder.

I hope I don't have to uninstall the game to fix that problem so is there a way to create a new saved games folder within the RCT2 directory?

You create a new saved game folder in you RCT2 directory the same you'd create any new folder in windows. It doesn't even need to be named saved games because the game let's you choose the save game from any directory.
Thanks...I'll try doing that next time I play the game.
