Not sure if others posted this or not....
Today, full page ads were released in the Toronto Sun and Star papers. These ads were purchased by Paramount Parks to dispell the rumors surrounding Wonderland's "moving."
This rumor that PCW, was being closed and re-located to the Niagara area had persisted for some time culminating with it being broadcast on local news affiliates.
To end the rumor, PCW's GM, Barry Jones, took out the ads that include several paragraphs reassuring that Wonderland was staying put. The ad alludes to the park already developing new attractions for 2003.

He let the contents of the bottle do the thinking; can't shake the devil's hand and say you're only kidding.
Shaggy... that's today's paper... the 9th of May?
If so... I think I will try and snag a copy somewhere, just for that... and even scan it if I can!
Yes, todays....
Here's a link to someone's site with it.
Hope I do not get in trouble for posting it.

Well whoever started the rumor here on Cbuzz was stupid enough to give the name of the developer who was raxing PCW. It's not too hard to email someone for the truth :)

Now, I do not, nor never did, accept the veracity of the moving rumors. But just as no one should have been quick to jump to the side of the rumor, they should be equally pensive about accepting this "proof".
If you had said that you'd personally seen this ad in a paper you bought, I'd believe you based on what I know of you. But seeing as though you're in Kentucky not Ontario, that seems unlikely. If you've just heard this "via a voice on the internet" then I must be skeptical.
Unless of course that voice was one of the Reids in which case all the above is moot...

I got the same add in my loal paper today, and a friend of mine got one yesterday in a different paper.
I'm gonna try to put one of these up in the Vortex station, so if one more stupid person asks me "Hey, are you guys moving?" I can just point them to the letter and shake my head in disgust.

2Hostyl....
Moot... Mr. Reid and I have been in touch about this. And Mr. Reid has also been in touch with PCW about it.
And why on earth would I, or anyone for that matter, take time to forge a false Paramount Parks document....
Sheesh!

It is amazing how this rumour picked up speed. I heard about Wonderland's supposed move from four completely unrelated sources, including someone who works for the city of Toronto. I have to believe that all of the new homes infringing on the park led someone to start this. A mindset like "The park can't expand very much anymore so I guess it will have to relocate". Glad to confirm that the park is staying put. Can you imagine how much a good park in Niagara Falls would cost? I went to a Denny's there and a Grand Slam breakfast cost over $15 CDN.
