PAX Shuttle Loop for TX State Fair Cancelled

According to "Extra Extra" the up-to-the-minute news feed on the Amusement Today website, the Cobra Shuttle Loop Coaster that was supposed to be exhibted at the Texas State Fair and built by Russian ride firm, Pax, has been cancelled.

Reasons cited include such nasty little legal issues such as export and currency controls in place governing transacations between Russian and American businesses.

The TX State fair will be exhibiting a Reverchon Crazy Mouse insetead, and has arranged with traveling amusement suppliers to fill the space left empty by the shuttle loop with other midway rides.

Reverchon mice are great and all that....seen 3, ridden only the one in the dark at KW....but the PAX Cobra looked like a really cool new ride.....bummer...:(
