Paula's New Song

Those of you who remember Paula's last visit (sorry, only have lyrics to her 2002 rendition of "Day-O") to NoCoasterCon will recall she usually came up with a catchy ditty that she graced us with her vocal stylings.

Well, this year Paula returned to NCC for the first time since 2002 and she serenaded us with her version of "The Voyage" sung to the tune of "My Girl".

The main reason(s) for this post, you ask?
1) To beg Paula for the lyrics.
2) To ask if she and the Kochs will be joining her onstage to sing it at Holiwood Nights
3) To ask if she can post the construction tour video that she wanted to show at NCC but couldn't due to the fact that the guy running the multimedia portion didn't have Quicktime on his laptop?

Please do, Paula! I've been collecting the poems and songs for my Holiday World scrapbook.

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead

Well thank you, George.

Actually, it was to the tune of "My Guy."

...I'd be glad to post the lyrics following my command performance at EastCoaster in a few weeks.

No, we won't sing it at HoliWood Nights ... we'll have something else prepared for that event.

Thanks, Paula

What about the video? ;)

I was hoping to hear Paula would be reprizing the song at EastCoaster.

Watch the tram car please....
George...

It's a 10-minute video, so I'm not sure about streaming something of that length.

How about your son and his band? Will they?

...we'll have something else prepared for that event.

Prepared? As in turkey, stuffing, and gravy?!

Ah, it's been a few years and Tom has moved on to engineering internships at places like Dartmouth. (We decided--lovingly, of course--that he's a freak of nature.)

However, Son #2 is eager to carry on the tradition. Expect a park "garage band" to play Saturday night during the meal.

I keep forgetting Tom is in college now. UGH...where did all that time go, Paula? Good to hear his younger brother is carrying on the tradition ;)

oh yes, there is no party without gravy, all the other stuff is trim ;)

You can't judge a book by it's cover but you can judge a coaster by the screams
The title of last Friday's HoliBlog post was in honor of enthusiasts everywhere: http://www.holidayworld.com/holiblog/2006/01/gravy-anyone.html.

And Moosh ... John plays trumpet, mellophone, electric guitar, drums, and...as of Christmas...bagpipes!

Well, I am *bumping* this thread now that EastCoaster has passed in order to remind Paula to post her lyrics... ;) (You didn't think you'd get off that easy, did you, Paula?) :)
