Parques Reunidos lets go of 10 at Pittsburgh area parks

Parques Reunidos has laid off 10 of the 110 employees who work year-round at three area amusement parks -- Idlewild Park in Ligonier, Kennywood Park in West Mifflin, and Sandcastle in West Mifflin.

While I certainly feel for the people who were let go, I have to think that if this event took place at any other business establishment besides an amusement park, this would not have made the news.

Sad news, but not unexpected.

Roughly 9% decrease off to the top of my head. I wish them luck.

Yes, but remember all kinds of promises were made not only to the families, and the staff , but publically as well. This is not going over well at all in the 'burgh. Add to that the statement that PR is going to manage KWE through it's Palace Entertainment division in Newport Beach , CALIFORNIA instead of setting it up as a seperate divison as was originally alluded to isn't doing them any good either.
