Parks in the snow

The recent WoA thread mentioning that they'd be open late in the year got me thinking about this. If there is an early winter this year (which a lot of "natural" things are pointing to - groundhogs getting fat early, starling flocks and geese flocks gathering early) and it snows, I think it would be really cool to visit a park in the snow. Just bundle up and I'd bet those coasters would absolutely tear through their courses (they speed up with just overnight lows, imagine what snow would do!)

So my question is this, would the park (WoA) stay open if it did snow? And has anyone ever been to a park in the snow before?

the only park i have been to that it was snowing at was Walt Disney World, although it was fake, it was fun :-), other than that i have never been at a park that it has snowed at, but i doubt that any parks would leave a coaster open during snow because they close for rain, why not snow?

Been there done that. It was at PKI several years ago. It was back in the days when they were open late in the year (they still do till early nov.) and the weather went bad. I was there the final day one year and got a Snow Day ticket. It was so cold and snowy that they gave everyone a ticket for a return the next year. It did have snow day on it. Unfortunately, it was used by my father-in-law the next year so I no longer have this ticket. But I have experienced quite a few times at PKI in snow on the Beast and it is a blast!
They don't close for rain, they close for lightning.

Ok I'm going to be doing every ritual, dance, sacrafice to the snow gods whatever to get it to snow first week of Nov then =) I wanna ride Batman and X-Flight in the snow!

Thanks for the encouraging thoughts! ;)

I have been to WoA in the snow on more than 1 occasion. However, depending on the temp. of course, will depend what rides are Open. The 1 time the only Coaster that was open was Superman and some other rides, such as Hydes and Musik Express. Not sure if any other flat rides were open considering I never left the Superman Area. It is really fun in the snow though, especially since not many people are there.
I went to Knoebels once in the middle of winter. It was closed but I got to walk around the park. It's strange because there was a handful of people working and all the rides were torn down for winter. Some rides you can't even tell what they were.

I went to PKI this year and there was snow, I think the first saturday it was open way back in the beginning of april, It was actually really cool. Almost all the rides eventuay opened up but it was just cool sitten there looking at like vortex covered in snow and the snow falling off as it melted. The wood coasters run so well in cold temp. there. When SOB finally opened later in the day I rode it and it was cool because when you first came out of the station and under the lift you would get hit by big snow balls. Also coming out of teh second helix and you go under some track you would get nailed by snow and it would hurt. This was really an awesome day. No one there and I got 15 rides on SOB, 10 consecutive without getting off the train.
