Parks in Ohio.(How many?)

Seeing as Ohio has a cluster of parks I was just wondering if anybody knows exactly how many there are? Please include the smaller scale parks as well. The park doesnt need to have a coaster to be included also. It must be nice especially if you live in the center of the state to just wake up in the morning and flip a coin to decide which park to experience on that day. *** This post was edited by Chitown on 4/26/2000. ***

Look in the "parks" section of this site and do a search by state.

Yeah, I know that but usually the small parks sometimes are not listed do to not being known by the masses.

In this case, it is a complete list. Well, you could include the defunct parks like Idora and Chippewa Lake, but you they'll never reopen.

Ohio Really doesnt have a lage amount of parks. And isint a huge state, like Cali is. Its the amazing amount of coasters in each of its park, and the power of the coasters. That gives it its name.
But Ohio has Cedar Point, and thats all that matters. =)
I'm with Relic on this one!

201.3 Miles to Cedar Point from Owosso MI.
RELIC that's prety much what I ment, with what I said at the end, and PKI, added to that.
Ohio also has SFO. But I am also with Relic.:)
Well I tell ya California has some rockin National Parks and some splendid Amusement/Theme Parks. We also have a beautiful new Ballpark in San Francisco (San Diego will have theirs in a couple years). State Parks abound in California as well.

Revolutionary, do you work for the State Bureau of Tourism?!?!?

See yah this summer at Six Flags Ohio!
Does it matter what Cali. has? Its Cedar Point and PKI that count. Besides, every one knows that Baltimore and Camden Yards is the best ballpark on earth and the one that every one is trying to copy.
CP marks are funny. They think that everything else should suck and CP should be wonderful. I'd like it if all of the parks rocked so I could go to 4 great parks in the area. (SFK, PKI, SFO, and CP.) Just be happy that things are so huge in the Coaster industry right now. In ten years, it won't be this way, so enjoy it.
No I dont CoasterWuss, but someone has to stick up for California once in awhile. We do have good parks (amusement and otherwise) so I feel they should be noted. And why do just CP and PKI matter?

Revolutionary, its cool you stick up for your parks because people like Coasterwuss are part of a mass that is on this site. To all the people from Ohio. You do the exact same thing so dont question someone elses opinions. I asked a simple question on this post and all of a sudden it leads to "We have CP so nothing else matters!". I have said it before and I will say it again, "COME OUT FROM UNDER YOUR SHELL AND REALIZE THERE ARE OTHER PARKS OUTSIDE OF OHIO!!!". This isnt strictly a CP site so respect other peoples opinions.

Time for a dose of reality here...

People like what they know. It's also worth noting that some of our younger members can't just travel whenever they want. Naturally, they're limited to what's in their back yard whether it be Ohio or California. Don't antagonize them.

I don't understand the religion of Cedar Point fans, but I do practice. I don't think everything else sucks and I'm trying to work in a SoCal trip this year [cough]business trip[cough]. The simple fact is that unless you've been to those place that you don't live, you can't compare. I can compare Ohio parks all day, but haven't had a chance (or the financial means) to travel until this year. I'll hit SFGAm, PKD and BGW for sure, and hopefully the West Coast parks as well, so I'll reserve judgement until then.

Seeing as how this was a thread about Ohio parks I see little reason to turn this in to a pissing match about which parks are better.

Can't we just all get along?

I know Everybody loves Ohio Parks, but Pennsylvania has good variety. Ok Hershey, Dorney, and Kennywood will never be Pki and CP,but they are still good. Nobody can say that Steel Force or Wildcat or Great Bear suck simply beacause they dont. Ohio is not they only place in the world where coasters are being built.

OK
