Parks are starting to open up...SO where are you g

Cedar Point tomorrow.. as I start work for the 2003 season.

Planning on hitting PKI on openign weekend with about 30 CP employee's as we did last year. Hoping to be able to hit SFGAm and possibly Dorney during the season. May be hard as I'm working 6 days a week untill November starting tomorrow.

P.S. Of course.. one of the best benifits of work at the park before it opens is they DO need bodies for test rides at certain times. ;)

MovieWorld Germany opening day. Why? Because it's the first major European park opening within my range. :) Followed by SFH, Drievliet and Efteling. Perhaps even SFB and Bellewaerde.

If you look at the meeting calender You would see I already been to SDC on March 18th. I had to get my WildFire fix you know, However ThuNderaTion ran well durring my trip. You should see the meeting Calender to see where and when my next stop will be. I do like to check the Meeting Calendar quite a bit to see if I'll be seeing any Coaster Buzzers with me at the park I'll be visiting. The meeting calendar can be found at http://www.coasterbuzz.com/calendar.htm. This will help you out alot with wondering who is going where on a parks opening day.

Well on 4th April, I will be going to Thorpe Park for the NI Premier, and then on 6th April, I will be going to Alton Towers, And on the weekend after that(13th April) I will be off to Chessington.

And at the end of april, I will be going to France with the ECC to Parc Asterix,NigloLand and DLP so it looks like being a busy April for me :)

We discussed this already. Check out this thread to see everyone's answers.

Way to pimp your own topic Swoosh. :)

Just kidding. Although it was back in January so it got overlooked. (Search feature please) :)

As far as the Chicago area goes, I will make my 2003 park debut at Kiddieland in Melrose Park. Why?

Because it opens on April 19th. A couple weeks before SFGAm opens. See you all at Kiddieland (Some will, most wont) :)

Arena football has arrived in the Windy City. Go "Chicago Rush"

I am starting my season BGW on April 12. Was actually supposed to start there this past weekend the 30th, but got caught up in a bust 1/4 close at work. :(

Heading to Six Flags Gr8 Adv the following weekend to validate my season pass, and then I'll be hitting all SF parks that I have yet to visit. I have quite a list planned.

Also anxious to get my Dorney season pass that I ordered last week. TTD here I come. Seriously can't wait to visit CP this season. I won't do that til the end of the season since my girl can't ride since she's pregnant, and I had to promise her that I'd wait. ;) She is already going to miss out on a lot of good coasters.

Already got my Hersheypark season pass. Just gotta wait for it to open. They take their time there.

I'll make my usual round of parks too. Got to make it to Kennywood to ride Phantoms Revenge since I have yet to do that.

There is a lot on the list of things to do.

It's not that he's old, he's just tired from working all those hours to pay for you to go to all these parks. :-)

Well, I my current "locked in" travel/park plans are as follows: WoF on April 26 (getting my Cedar Fair season pass for $59), ValleyFair on May 10, SFGAM (CBuzzCon) May 17, HolidayWorld (SRM2003) May 30-June 1, SFWoA August 15-16, CP (using previously stated $59 CF season pass) August 16-18. ;) ;)

I will be hitting SFGAm multiple other times this summer, but those days are not firmly scheduled...

There is also a high probability that I will have to go to Dallas on business and I'll hit SFoT while I am there...

Nemesis: Inferno premiere! This time in 48 hours i'll be there. Can't Wait!!

At last the Thorpe Park 2003 season is finally, nearly upon us! The off season is too long and i'm envious of those people in California and Florida!!

On another note what is Cedar points normally annual attendence because they have a really short season if i'm right? Isn't it may-oct?

According to this press release on Cedar Fair's Investor Relations site...

Commenting on results at the individual parks, Kinzel said, “At our flagship property, Cedar Point, the introduction of the park’s 15th roller coaster and the addition of a new PEANUTS-themed ice show led to a 5% increase in attendance to 3.25 million guests in 2002.

We will be going to pki for openinig weekend. I just hope the weather is better than it was last year for opening weekend. It snowed out and it was in the uper 30's, lower 40's with about an inch of snow the night before. It was kinda funny watching snow fall off of sob when she ran. But half the coasters were not open because of the cold with the exception on the beast....which was closed due to the fact that they decided to replace the braking system in the spring insted of winter. None the less , I cant wait to get my first coaster fix of the season.
Us unfortunate soul in Chicagoland have to WAIT uptil May 3rd for SFGA to open because the park has several corprate events during April.

(what a bummer)

Go to Kiddieland Prodjbp. It opens April 19th.

I was at SFOG 3/29&30, will be there again in about 3 weeks, Visionland opening weekend (maybe, but I will visit sometime this season and hopefully will be working there), maybe IOA, USF, and SFNO.

First trip this year out of California for coasters is in June, for my 12-day ACE Con-Quest, followed by Silverwood, Enchanted Village, and Vancouver Playland in August and lastly PPP in October.

On the Con-Quest I'll be hitting LC, SFNE, Coney, Adventureland, BGW, PKD, SFA, Hershey, Williams Grove, and the entire Jersey/Maryland shore.

First up: Scream and X combo on April 17th :)

Up coming: Six Flags over Texas and a quick stop at the New Mexico Rattler the first week of May. PKD, BGW and SFA in June.

It's *hot* August that has me really excited though... ;)

People complain about clones, yet can't even come up with original conversation, which is ten times worse.

I'll be making my usual trips to Knoebels, Hershey, and Dorney. I'm really anxious to get to Kennywood for my first time in July though.
SFgadv opening day, So Cal and Coney Island are coming up in April.
