Parking Tips for SFGAM

I'm a season pass holder at SFGAM and I'm already sick of the $10 for parking. Doesn anyone have any advice? I heard of some parking voucher or something you could buy to reduce the price of parking to $4 dollars, that wouldn't be bad. I was also thinking about parking outaside the park somewhere and walking in. Does anyone know if any good places to park outside of SFGAM and walk in?
you could buy a parking season pass for $32 or you could park at Burger King or at Gurnee Mills.

Why didnt you just buy a season parking sticker when you got your admission season pass? Its well worth the money.

Dont try parking at the Burger King or any other business near the park because you are at risk of getting towed which will result in about $100.00 to get it out.

Just suck it up and pay $39.00 for the season parking sticker

Everyone has been complaining about this site being too much about Cedar Point, now it seems all I see is Six Flags Great America...

-----------------
Planned parks: Astroland, Knoebel's, Hersheypark, SFNE, SFGadv,SFGam,CP,PKI,PKD,PCW,HW,Indiana Beach,SFWOA,SFKK,SFDL,SFSTL,Lakemont,DelGrosso's... Need I say more?

If you don't want to read about Great America (or Cedar Point), they why do you follow the links that clearly topics about those parks?

It amazes me how many people on this site complain about what other people choose to discuss. If your not interested then don't participate in that discussion. It's really pretty simple.

There are reasons that certain parks get more discussion than others. You crying about it isn't going to change that. If you want to have a discussion about a different park, then start one.

Back to the topic... The businesses near the park entrance watch for park guests that leave their cars there. Like Chitown said, you're risking a big fine if you choose to do this.

I have a season pass and since I'm not paying to enter the park, I don't mind paying $10.00 parking for a day at the park. I'd spend more than that if I went to a movie for 2 hours.

If you go to the park more than 4 times a season, you'll save some money by getting a parking pass.

And by buying the Season Parking Pass I would have to pay for parking anymore right? It's not one of those things were you only have to pay $4 is it? Is there anyway I can get this from the parking booth or am I going to have pay another $10 for parking and then go buy the pass from guest relations?

Thanks for all the help guys, I wish I would've found out about a season parking pass sooner. Guess I shoulda looked into that better.

It's ok, yeah you have to pay $10.00 and then go to the ticket booths and purchase a parking pass.

Or you could go to the park near closing time (after the parking booth attendants have left) and park for free. They might give you your $10 back when you buy a parking pass if you provide your reciept from the parking booth.

Can you buy the season parking pass at the front gate?

To buy a season parking pass, you have to first pay the $10 to park for the day. Bring your parking ticket stub with you to guest relations to purchase a season parking pass and they'll sell you a pass for $29 ($10 off, since you already paid that to park for the day). It's that easy...and no, you won't have to pay for parking at SFGAm for the rest of the season.

Coasterdude318 is correct. I was inquiring about this yesterday. Not only will they give you one discount if you present your stub - you can save all your stubs from this season, and they will give you multiple discounts. In other words, if you went last week, and this week...and still have both stubs, they will give you $10 off the price of the parking pass for EACH stub ! Therefore it's just like you bought the parking pass pre-season.

Thats a pretty good deal, I'm sure it only goes up to 4 stubs though.

Can we change the name of Top Gun to your mom so no one wants to ride your mom?

I'm not sure what you meant by that comment, but I own the pass, and here's the simple-simple. :)

Pay $10 to park once. Buy pass for $30 ($40 minus parking receipt). You will not have to pay for any parking at all for the rest of the year.
