Parking Lots.

It may vary depending on the jurisdiction, but in at least some jurisdictions, police do not have the authority to enforce traffic laws in parking lots. When I was a kid they wouldn't even write an accident report for a crash in a mall parking lot. Reckless driving may be somewhat different from speeding or running a stop sign since it involves a specific threat as any other reckless behaviour might. Police do generally have authority though on how you drive entering a public roadway from private property.

The driver, known here as ShivringTim, understandably refused to proceed until the attendant got out of the way. :)

Ya know, you can slow Darwin down, but in the end, he'll win anyway...;)

As soon as that idiot going 100mph pulls out of the parking lot, you'd nail them...you'd nail a lot of people.

I've seen people racing in mall parking lots, and as soon as the sheriff, police, highway patrol showed up, guess what happened? Everyone scattered. And one idiot, crashed into a light pull trying to get away....guess who was laying face first in the pavement... not one, not two, not even three, but 8 people crammed into an acura legend....how they did that still amazes me to this day.

Sí, estoy de acuerdo con usted todos. Los aparcamientos son muy locos. Yo una vez vi que un grupo de estudiantes de instituto controla una luz roja directamente en el frente de un coche de bomberos hacia fuera el lado de Silver Dollar City.
Jason19: You obviously didn't grow up in the age when we had Volkswage Beetle packing contests. I got my moving one time with 14 and that was no record.
14 people!!!!!! What's the record?
Not sure about any accidents in the parking lots, but I SURE wouldn't doubt it. At closing time, or even when opening at times, some drivers are totally blind.. and totally crazy! I watch everyone, while walking and driving! :-) Everytime!

I agree... there should most definitely be security and better traffic control in all the theme park lots! If someone hasn't already been seriously injured in a parking lot...even killed... I am totally shocked!

Did see Sheriff's watching cars as they were leaving, and entering Magic Mountain's parking lot.

I could've even seen one sheriff with a radar gun...if that's the case, I'm all for it! You have complete idiots treating the parking lot like it's the Daytona 500.

If they're going to worry about the safety of roller coasters...why isn't their safety of parking lots?

I'd be interesting in knwoing how many people have been nearly carried on hoods, and hit while just walking to their car...
