So I just show them my season pass from SFWOA and I get to park for free? Wow, if that's true then that's pretty cool.

"Wait here's an idea, just say your dropping off, then they let you in through the parking gates, then knock yourself out and park the car, until they catch you at least ."
Very little about this diversion from reality pisses me off more than bellyaching about prices...

Six Flags, the only chain of parks that can manage to have stacking with a one train operation.
thats why they keep raising the prices. cause people like you dont care about paying all these sky rocket prices.mind you i do nothing but complain to people about them.
take my home park canadas wonderland.
i would have no problem with them raising the parking if they had to pay for something. if they got a hyper and wanted to raise the price for next year only! to 850 wrather then 750 i would be more then willing to pay. but when there just raising the price for profit only it pisses me off.
but come on when you go on a coaster trip, i dont think your happy about puting out $6average at every park you hit. im going to 7 parks next year thats $42 just to park. i dont like it, would you? and i understand that this is an expensive hobby but like i said about my home park there just pocketing the money or its going to other parks.
But more on the subject at hand, you pay for what you want to pay for. When I see things I want at a price I'm willing to pay, I buy them. If I think they are too expensive, I do NOT buy them. But what I do NOT do is buy something that I think is too expensive and then complain that I'm being ripped off. You are NEVER being ripped off until you actually pay. With the exception of things like taxes, you are free to choose where you spend your money.
Enthusiasts on boards like these seem to miss this concept. There are several places around the world where you can experience our shared interest cheaply. If one of those places is not within your reach TOUGH. Practice an art little used in the USA call "delayed gratification". That is, deny yourself your "coaster fix" now and wait till you can afford (time and moneywise) to do it at a place where you feel comfortable.
But once you lay down your money, IMO, it is an acceptance that the price was fair.
And just for the record, my last little "coaster trip" and I use the phrase loosely as I only visited two parks, ran me oh about eight, nine hundred dollars when all was said and done. But you see, I budget for that extravagance. If one cant afford the parking charges, then perhaps one
needs to re-evaluate how often that person visits parks in a car. Possibily, other transportation of better yet, other *entertainment* should be considered.
Like Black Sheep said back in the early nineties, "The Choice Is Yours"!
