I'm sure there is not much thought put into it by the parks, but why do coaster tee's always seem to be black or dark blue? It is hard to find a white tee to help me keep cool in the summer. The dark ones just keep too much friggin heat in. Anyone know why they are usually dark?
Kennywood got white ones.

Just got a Storm Runner tee that is white. It just depends on the park.
I don't know about you but I've got a white SFA logo tee & a vintage 1998 Roar/Adventure world tee that's white as well.
Ohh here's one more I forgot to mention...my white V:TBC logo tee,so that makes three white coaster/park tee's in my collection at this point.
I guess what I am trying to say is that there is a wider selection of tee's that are darker. I do have white tee's, but the graphics just dont seem as nice as the ones on the dark ones.
Almost all of my coaster shirts are grey...
Alot are Black or Navy but if you look you can find other colors, I own among others, a royal blue Magnum and Hypersonic, a white "Fear the Four" from BGW, a grey Raging Bull, and a white S:ROS SFNE shirt. As you can see I have a different color from all major chains. Black and Navy do tend to make the shirt look cooler though.

While I prefer for my park shirts to be white or grey, if I find a black or navy one with a really cool graphic, I'll get it anyway. I'll usually just save it to wear in the spring or fall when it is less warm. As for why a lot of shirts are of a darker color, my guess would be because it simply makes the graphic stand out more on the shirt.
Wasn't there a grey or white T-Shirt for TTD? I believe I saw one last year.
I dont know about that one Dragster Freak, by the time I got on the ride (and therefore was "qualified" to buy the shirt) in October all the shirts I saw were black.

I got a "Thrill Chaser" shirt from CP last year that was white, but yes, it seems like the majority are blue or black that I have seen or purchased for myself.

There was a grey shirt for Dragster. I bought one when I rode it in May of last year. It has a black and white checkered flag design with 420' across the chest.
I know this is off topic, but does anyone remember the Beast Tees that KI (before PKI) had with the orange claws on the front that was raised off the shirt? I would like to find one.
Many designs look more dramatic on a black background, but shirts are generally available in other colors. At SFA today, they had shirts in almost any color imagninable.
I remember virtually *begging* Wild Adventures to get a Cheetah shirt in ANY color other than black. FL sun, summer and black makes for a non-viable apparel option, LOL...
Well, they finally had them during the Runnin' Wild event...I wanted to pick one up, but after a couple spins on the coaster, I forgot what it was I enjoyed about CCIs in the first place....WOW!
I happen to like color tees. However my problem is the logo. Why do all the damn logos have to be on the front. I would buy so many shirts if the logos were on the back!

I bought a Dragster **** that is practically ENTIRELY solid white. There is a small band goin from top to bottom on the left hand side that is pink and yellow with a logo, but other than that, it's as white as you can get.
My Ghostrider T is sort of light blue / grey... My wife has a white Tank top from Silverwood that has "WOODIE" surrounded by a coaster track on the front... boy does she get comments on that... ;-)
My favorite though is my white X tank top. I don't know why, it's just sort of simple and keeps me cool.

My parents have a Gam shirt from 1984 when SF bought the park.
