Park Railroads

I got a Monopoly CDRom free with some cereal and there's a "create a custom board" option. Needless to say the first thought I had was roller coasters.

I've got all the properties set up with coasters and pics, but I needs names for the Railroads. I've already got "Cedar Point & Lake Erie" but I can't seem to find the name of the BGW train and I'm looking for names of some other ones. Any ideas?

Six Flags Railroad (SFOG) and probably at every other SF park.

The Great American Scenic Railway at my home park (SFGAm).

Does anyone know if that's what they call it in Califonia, too?

Oak grove express, it's the railroad at SFA.

Cedar Creek Cannonball -Dorney Park

Olde Kennywood Railroad - Kennywood

The Freedom Train - Holiday World

There's plenty more. Check the official park sites. They usually list all their rides.

Zephyr and Alpengeist Express.

How many rides must a man go on, before you may call him a fan?

(SF) Great America, I think they removed there railroad to make room for Vortex. Not sure though.

Deja Vu Count = 27
SFGAm CoasterWorld

Dry Gultch Railroad at HersheyPark.

Heres some more: (Names of the Railroad, not the Trains themselfs)

Silver Dollar City: Frisco & Silver Dollar Line

Kings Island: Kings Island and Miami Valley Railroad

Dollywood: Gatlinburg and Western Railroad

Busch Gardens Tampa: Trans-Velt Railroad?

"The fish are eating the guest, sir

610 Railroad (Astroworld) though no one probably knows what it means unless they've seen the interstate-loop beside Astroworld, which is, you guessed it, I-610.

Long live Six Flags Astroworld!! Ok, you can all laugh now...

Thanks. The board is complete and now I just have to buy Millennium Force and X before someone else does.

Well?

Which ones did you use?

And, come to think of it, what else did you use for the board? It sounds really cool.

Uh, did we forget one of the most famous park railroads of them all?

The Walt Disney World Railroad? Not that you could use it, but....

The above was confusing (to me, at least) so let me clarify:

SFGAm's railroad still exists as Great America Scenic Railway. PGA removed their railway when they were going to get Hypersonic XLC.

Lakeside has one that goes around the lake named "Senic Route."

For those that are interested, here's a run down of what the board looks like:

First of all, I decided to go with coasters from one park for each of the colour groups. I was thinking of doing several coasters of the same type for each group, such as suspendeds, inverts, hypers, etc. but that seemed tougher and it will wait till the next board I make.

Also I have pretty much kept to coasters I've been on so there are probably some strange looking picks, like La Ronde, my home park that I had to include.

1 - Holiday World (Legend and Raven) Fit perfectly into a two space group

2- La Ronde (Boomarang, Monster, Vampire) I felt I need a 'rang and a Batman clone in there

3- Kennywood (Jack Rabbit, Thunderbolt, Phantoms Revenge) I wanted to include some old wood

4- SFGAdv (Chiller, Medusa, Nitro) I wanted to include GASM as I enjoy the mega loopers, but the name didn't fit in the little square

5- BGW (BBW, Nessie, Alpengeist) Needed a suspended and you can't pass up an oportunity to use a pic of Nessie.. just beautiful and my first big coaster as a kid

6- SFGA (Viper, V2, Bull) I had just been to this park for the first time a few weeks and loved it.

7- CP (Magnum, Raptor, MF) My only regret is that I couldn't include more coasters for CP

Boardwalk/Park Place - SFMM (Riddler, X) It was toss up between CP and SFMM but my love of Riddler won in the end.

And the railroads I used are Cedar Point & Lake Erie, Frisco & Silver Dollar Line, Kings Island & Miami Valley, and Oak Grove Express. I chose them pretty much based on the names because I've not been on any of them to tell you the truth.

What did you use for the other spaces, like the utilities, taxes, Comm. Chest, Chance, Free Parking, etc??

They don't let you change those.. but if I could I'd make free parking $10 parking like every other park because we all love that.

Luxury Tax could be "Fastlane" pass or something like that.

Go ride the SLC, go directly to the SLC, do not pass Go, do not collect $200.00

You would need this card also. "You have rode the SLC, you must now go to the hospital. Hospital bill is $300"
