Park Maps.

What do you think is the most accurate map at an amusment park and what ones are just horrible. I think Knoebels type maps are the best I think the most accurate.

You'll look back at this day and laugh.

I like PGA's, SFMW, SFMM ( the best map) and the Disney ones, the worst I have seen is CP's. That's probibly the only thing wrong with that park! :)
Yes, I deteste the newest park map. The one previous to the one Cedar Point has now was pretty good, nice and colorful. The one now looks like a 4 year old drew it with a pack of dried out markers. It's UG-LAY!!!

Six Flags Marne World's 2002 map has to be the worst in history. It was so bad that I was suprised the second grader colored in the lines. Just look at Roar, it looks like a big hunk of nothing, Boomerang looks like a big knot, and Kong is a tangled red-orange ribbon. The only good note was that they got Medusa's layout right for the first time.

Take a real good look here and compare it to last years.

Ditto about PKI's. They're terrible! I really like lookin at the old ones! they're pretty nice. And plus you can see how the park has changed over the years.......They used to actually want people to be able to find the rides, now they just don't care ;)

(Yes I was being sarcastic)

It's his turn to feast, when you ride the Son of Beast.

Before paramount took over PKD and Carowinds had maps that only had red dots representing flat rides so you really had no idea what they were till you got to them

SFMW's 2002 map seriously has to be THE WORST park map EVER created. It looks like a two-year-old drew it or something. Anyways, the best ones that I have seen are SFMM's, DCA's and CP's. I actually think that there's looks good.

BGW has the worst map. You could easily get lost if you followed the map, something Inever do,. The best is Six Flags maps.

I think Holiday World has a pretty good map, the coasters are perfect. As for SF parks, I thought that last years SFMM map was pretty bad. Most of the coasters didn't look right and you couldn't even see Goldrusher. I don't tend to look at many maps because most of the parks I visit I've been to before (therefore I don't need directions to the coasters). So therefore I haven't looked at a CP, PKI or SFStL map in quite a while. I prefer the ones that are as accurate as possible and look like they were drawn by a professional. Most of the SF maps are too catoonish IMO with dimensions thrown way out of proportion. And good luck following the tracks on some of the coasters. But as long as a map will get me from where I am to where I need to be without any complications, there really isn't anything to complain about.
I personally really like the CP maps. Sure, they aren't dead on accurate about anything and Wilcat is literally drawn as a figure eight, but there could be worse. PKI does a nice job as well, but they really need someone to update the map on their site and the site in general. KC and KCKC are no longer there, correct? And there have been a few new rides since 2000 if I'm not mistaken. Update that site! Yes, I'll do if for you if you would like. :) I was disappointed to see the SFKK and SFAW maps. Both were fairly poor compared to some of the other SF maps I've seen. SFWoA, SFMM, and SFGAdv all had really nice maps from what I remember.

The newest CP maps are the worst. The old ones were actually pretty decent because they had all the detail. I wish they would go back to that. But I guess I kinda realize why parks dont care wether or not the maps go into great detail or not. All the maps are for are to give you a good idea of where things are. But the best map that I have seen are the Disney maps. Lots of detail.

Knoebels and Myrtle Beach Pavilion's maps are the best. The worst is definately Kennywood.
I like Port Adventura's and Islands of Adventures.

The 2001 map for Hersheypark is great. It shows great detail and is fun to look at in the off-season. Hersheypark's website currently says that there will be a new 2002 interactive map coming soon. I hope it is as good as the old one.
BGW maps have got to be the worst. They used to be pretty accurate, but they are really getting hard to follow. Thank God I know my way around.
The maps CP released up until 2000 were superbin accuracy and detail. They had tables outside food areas, riders on the coasters, correct layouts, and the right colors on every ride...very realistic.

The ones they have released since are just sad. They are riddled with mistakes, have no riders, have the wrong colors, and look too cartoony.

I like the Map on Warner Brothers Madrid's Web Site, very Interactive. I wish all parks could have web sites like that.
