Park in Austria? Need some help.

In the summer of 93 I toured with a jazz band through Europe. We went to a park that if I remember coorectly was in Austria. (I was 16, and well in europe so memory is foggy). This park at the time boasted worlds Largest Ferris Wheel. i am not sure if it was height, but I am sure capacity since the cars were gondolas that held about 50 people each. There was a ride there called Condor. I believe it to be intamin as I think It was on thier site. It was a Scrambler type flat that went up a space needle. Are there any of these great rides in the US?
Does anyone know the name of this Park?
It also had the most ingenious Flume that just went up, around and down, however at the bottom of the hill was a ramp that sent you airborne into a pool of water. Are there any more of these around? Who builds them? And are there any in the states?
We rode it, and it scared the bejesus out of me as the boat flipped back and I was completely submerged! Yeow! What a thrill!

Anyone help?

Note: Park also had a Wild Mouse coaster with a loop as well as what i remember to be some great Huss Flats.

The ride you're referring to is the Huss Condor. There are several in the states including Hershypark and Six Flags Great America. There was one at Morey's Pier also. Is it still there?

Ok then cool, I saw that on the huss site.... Man they had some great flats at this park.

Now, does anyone know the name of the park, or can tell me ore about the Flume ride I rode? Because that was the craziest!

Thanks for the help..

What you're probably referring to is Austria's Prater Park. The "looping wild mouse" would have been Looping Bahn, a Pinfari Zyklon Loop. I'm not sure about the flume ride, but you can check their website at http://www.wiener-prater.at/ . Also see:

The name of the park is "Prater". The looping-mouse isn't there anymore and there is a log-flume but without the jump. I can't remember having a flume with a jump there. Vidampark in Budapest/Hungary (http://www.vidampark.hu) has one which i rode this year and i have to say it is really great fun. There's a small video of it on their website.

The ferris wheel has really big enclosed gondolas. Unfortunately it was damaged in WWII and runs now with only half of the gondolas that were installed in thge original. Anyways it not only gives a great view about the whole park but about beutiful Vienna (on sunny days).

The park coasterwise now has two wild mouse (one spinning), one ACE classic coaster, a boomerang, a portable coaster and another one with very fun helixes ... in fact the whole coaster is a series of helixes up and down (http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery1094.htm?Picture=3)...

Newest rumour about the park is to get a new coaster in 2003. It will be a Zamperla Volare (http://www.zamperlarides.com/main/volare.htm)

I really liked this park, despite the lack of a world class coaster; it's probably got somethong to do with the fact it's in Vienna. Also, it has one of the most extensive collections of flatrides i've ever seen (second only to Oktoberfest) including a few i'd never seen before, and the truly sickening Xtacy - a scrambler gone mad. And the ride ops were fun, commentating during different parts of the flatrides' programmes, which all seemed to be on the extreme setting! A truly charming park; i'd love to go again.

there's a few of these Huss condors around... one here at Pleasure Island UK.

Heide-Park, Holiday-Park, Fort Fun and several other small German parks have a condor as well. They are quite common in Europe, especially in the older family parks.
