Park Hours For Next Year & Crowds

When do the parks normally announce their hours for the upcoming year?

My beautiful wife and I are going to Vegas in January and along with this we want to do a day-trip to SFMM. However, SFMM's park hours for 2003 aren't listed yet; so, we can't make flight reservations until we know.

We're going to be in Vegas from Friday, Jan. 3rd to Wed. Jan., 8th. If their hours in 2003 are similar to 2002, we will probably have to go there on either Saturday or Sunday because I'm betting they won't be open on Monday or Tuesday (Jan. 6 & 7).

If this is the case, what can we expect for crowds on a weekend in January?

Thanks!

They might already have the hours planned for that time. Try calling the park and letting them know your situation and ask to speak with a manager to get that information. Also, make sure to get names of everyone you speak to so if something (god forbid) does go wrong (hours/days open change) you can detail your conversations...

Odd, the hours aren't there anymore. We found out a few months back that we'll be getting the chace to go to Vegas around the same time as you (January) - having the same idea (trip to SFMM) I checked the hours on the site. At the time (in June, I believe) it listed SFMM as only open on weekends - similar to most parks fall schedules - full days on Saturdays and shortened days on Sundays. Something must have changed for the calendar on the SF web site to simply list all dates as "To Be Determined", so don't take those times as fact, that's simply what was posted a few months ago.
