Park ads in other countries

Does anyone know how far parks in other countries go with their advertising.  i.e.comercials,newspapers etc.  I been to Mexico City several times and have never seen any thing for the Six Flags there.  My cousins have never heard of it either and they live within 2 hours of the park.  Is it just that there aren't any other parks around so advertising is a wast of money in those type of areas?
When I went o Jamaica they had an ad for Coney Island in NY
I don't know about SF's attitude in Mexico, but advertising isn't just to compete with others.  Advertising is also used to create demand for a product.  Even if you are the only park in town advertising can help to get people to come to the park instead of staying home or doing something else.

When I was a kid.  Pontchartrain Beach in New Orleans was the only real amusement park for hundreds of miles.  They still advertised heavily in season to encourage people to come out and spend their money.
