Paramount's King's Dominion

Has anyone here been on Drop Zone Stunt Tower????I'm going to the park in a few weeks and I've heard about it.If anyone has been on it, what's it like???Is it worth riding???

drop zone scares the crap out of me, more than any rollercoaster does. that's why it's such a thrill to ride. amazing view, too.

DZ is not to be missed. The thing is awesome. Like pezpunk said, the view is amazing. You are high as hell when you are only halfway up the darn thing!

Get your butt in line the instant you get into the park. Not because it has a long wait time (because the wait usually doesn't exceed 20 minutes) but because it's such a damn exciting ride. Trust me, the first time you'll ride it you'll be asking yourself, "When will this thing ever stop going higher?".

It's interesting that you ask if it's worth riding. Playing armchair psychologist, I think you already know the answer, but are a little bit afraid maybe? I've seen plenty of young kids ride it, and they love it. It's the older people who seem to have the problem.

It's absolutely worth riding. Somehow it doesn't seem quite as intense as some of the older freefall models but the length of the fall makes up for it. It is a decent spectator ride too. Most folks in line can't resist staring at the thing as it gets waaay up there, and some have entertaining reactions to the gust of wind that radiates as the gondola stops falling. Have fun!
