Paramount's Gold Season Passes?

Have I been living in a cave recently or has Paramount sneaked these babies in under the radar? I just recently went to PKI's site trying to see construction cam and went instead to the Season pass area. Lo and behold, there some sort of new-fangled 'gold' pass with ACE-like membership privledges. Does anyone know anything about these, like when they were introduced and how much it is to upgrade from a regular one if you already bought a 2001 pass? I'm extremely curious about this thing.
We got our passes last OCT .I just called PKI i was told that we will have to pay 10.00 per pass to upgrade to gold passes.
Paramount's Carowinds has had the Gold passes for a few years. We go for the Gold, mainly for the free parking. You also get 20-30% discounts on food and merchandise and a Bring-a-Friend after 5pm pass for each Gold pass. PKI and PKD honored the free parking last summer.

Actually, according to PKI`s website, the Gold pass is a free upgrade with a purchase of a season pass. So I do not understand why if you bought your season passes in October you would now have to pay ten bucks, when if you purchased a new season pass, you would get it for free. But I would pay the ten bucks!
What happens to the Ace walkback, does anyone know?
If you purchased your season pass before the end of last season the price was much lower than it is now, so for those of us who already have passes the $10 fee isn't all that bad, especially when you consider the benifits.

As for the ACE walk back. I don't know any details, but I'm sure that PKI will continue this tradition.

As stated at No Coaster Con the walk backs will continue this year....along with the 50% discounted admissions for single day passes for any ACE member. Just thought you would all like to know that. The discount will NOT apply to 2 day passes or seasons passes.

The gold season passes are available if you purchased your PKI season passes on or before November 10th. If you purchased them before that, you will, as stated above, have to pay a $10 dollar fee per pass.to upgrade by May 20th!
The upgrade IS free before May 20th. Read this. It tells you ALL about them.

no, Koaster King, I recieved an email from the Operations manager, guest relations of Paramount`s Kings Island and she specifically says that if you bought your 2001 passes before November 10, that if you want to upgrade to gold passes that you must pay a ten dollar fee and have new passes made at the park!

That sound REALLY cool...but...Does Paramount's Kings Dominion have a Gold Pass?

I also bought my passes last year and also got my picture and was wondering. That double ride thing sounds cool!

Does anyone have any info?

So when I got my pass a couple of weeks ago, I accidently got a Gold pass for free? And their website is lying to everyone? Come on, coasterz.

And it looks like bad news for you RCTfan. No gold. You get XLC though. :( Wanna trade?
