Wednesdays= good. This was my fifth trip to Carowinds this season and possibly my last before I leave Sunday for 5 weeks. Arrived at South Gate around 9:30 for weekday E.R.T on Top Gun. Top Gun was running exceptionally well today, or maybe it was what I ate, but it was smooth and gave me nice feeling in my stomach (or maybe it was that bacon egg and cheese biscuit). Rode it 7 times and went over to Scooby Doo's Haunted Mansion. I scored my highest score yet, 1040.

Thunder Road Backwards had men on bungee chords and a crane all over one of the hills so it was closed. It would open later but both sides ran only 1 train all day. Rode fowards once in the back and then decided to do both simulator films since there were zero lines.

I then got 3 rides on Hurler, 2 on the Cyclone (second train was still out of service, and 2 rides on the Drop Zone. Someone got off the Scream Weaver, stood at the exit for 5 minutes, THEN threw up. Very courteous of them to wait to do it there rather than heading for the restroom 50 feet away. Rode Scream Weaver then rode Rip Roarin Rapids for the second time this season. Then rode the Flume for the first time this year. I thought it had just received a new blue paint job, but it seemed like some parts had been replaced. It was actually a bit bumpy but still fun and I actually got wet this time.

Lunch was at Wings. Note to anyone visiting Carowinds. At Wings chicken tenders (they are good :)) are 4.49, fries are 2.49, and drinks are 2.49. If you get the Kid's Meal you get all 3 of those things (plus a toy :P) for 4.99. The woman gave us all fruit cups too (I didn't complain) and it was even cheaper with the season pass discount.

After lunch it was on to change to swimsuits. Next up was the Super Saturator which I still love, and then Pipeline Peak. I applaud Carowinds for this addition. The same height as Hurler and around 50 mph, this water-slide is awesome as I have said before.

After changing back to street clothes I caught 3 more rides on Top Gun, including one in the front. Rode Top Gun 10 times total, giving me 34 rides on it this year and somewhere around 150 for the year. The last ride of the day was on Thunder Road Backwards, and then it was off for home at around 4.

It was a nice day with hardly any crowds, and that meant a lot of riding. I think this was the first visit where by the end of the day I was still feeling great and wasn't tired of the park or tired physically. I could have stayed and rode all day.
