Paramount Parks---say goodbye to true theming

With the newest announcement of sticking a movie promotion dark ride similator in the area that was formally themed to be a frontier section, PKI is officially no longer any more of a them park than Cedar Point.

Slowly piece by piece Paramount has manged to rip out almost all of the theming from their parks. PKI and Great America are the ulimate examples. PKI is now a hodge podge mix of rides placed wherever. Its sad how much of the magic this park has lost from its original opening.

They have added some good coasters over the years, but the loss of flat rides and theming take away just as much. Its a shame Paramount has decided to make their park the ecomony version of Universal parks.

hey wat about PCW........You have Drop Zone, and Cliffhanger rides based on a movie in the middle of what is suppose to called Medievil Faire!

Well this new ride is claimed to be "heavily themed" so what more can I say..

I really doubt this will be Rivertown anymore. It only has one "river"! Expect an expansion theme to Adventure next year. The Beast, Tomb Raider, and White Water Canyon are all excellent adventures. I think the adventure theme will be much better for them. I think we'll still see one of the best sections of the park. Adventure Village's Revenge! ;)

PGA has almost no themeing anymore, at least movie tie-ins. Psycho Mouse has a themed que.
Its not much but its better than nothing.

Does anyone besides me remember what the Action Zone was? It was Adventure Village. I see AV moving to Rivertown, but have the general theme as a jungle outpost. That would merge so well right into the Nickelodeon Central with WTRA right on the edge.
I do think that Coney Mall, Oktoberfest, and Action Zone are still themed. It still has theming, but not as heavily.
