No Season pass for me this year. That coaster is not enough of an incentive for me to go to the park more than once a year.

I know there hasn't been anything positive about these from enthusiasts...but does the GP even seem to like them? What has the response been like out in Colorado?
This was announced back in early september so it's not much in terms of news. I am looking forward to the roller coaster, it would have been better if it were a custom arrow or B & M, then again, this is Paramount that we're talking about.;)

Roller coasters are more than just rides, they're a reason for living

I've ridden the one in Denver's Elitch Gardens. It is beautiful to look at, and the lift system is unique and fun.

But the actual ride is terrible. One ride was enough for me (and most people). Harsh, jarring, sudden twists. No feeling of flight.... just a feeling of uncomfotableness. And the general public seems to agree with me.

but its cheap, i think thats the main goal here.
Do the executives actually try out the ride before they buy them?

If the rumors are true & it has a theme of Laura Croft/Tomb Raider... then that'll draw even more crowds because it's one of the rare rides at PCW that's actually themed (aside from Top Gun & the kiddie section, I don't think there are any).

If the layout is somewhat different & the trains are more comfortable/modified than the "prototype" version at Elitches... then it has the potential to be a better ride.

I just wish this wasn't the only new ride for '04 since I honestly am not looking forward to it. I'd rather see yet another giant flat.

How mini is mini...if it is smaller than the one in Colorado, what is the point for me to go there?...yes did the executives try it before they announced it. Paramount needs to take a long while and just think.
If it is like the one in CO, there is no way I'm ever going to go on that thing. I rode the one at Elitch and once was more than enough.

Must be me, but I thought PCW had BIG attendance numbers....isn't capacity going to be a problem there...(unlike Rye, which is a good choice of parks for the Z-flyer).

I've never had much desire to visit any Paramount park other than PKI and this really doesn't change things, cause if you ask me, another day, another not-so-stunning coaster for Paramount parks.
And fortunately for PCW, the over 3 million people that vist yearly do not agree with you!

The ONLY Paramount park in N. America that I've yet to visit is PCW, and the only one I have NO desire to return to is PGA.

It won't be *just* for the Z-flyer, but I'm pretty sure I'll get to PCW this coming year....if for no other reason than the Togo stand-up...;)

My god, Gator...you *do* love everything, don't you?

mOOSH - laughed every time Gator got off a Boomerang this summer and said "That was awesome!"

The only 2004 Wood Coaster Calendar still available, plus holiday & all-occasion cards. All at S&D Greetings.

I hate being one of those 3 million ppl who visit PCW yearly because it's the only thing around. Yes the flat ride collection is really good, but the coaster collection tips the scales into the junky side. I have fun at the park still but i want at least 1 coaster that i can get off of without holding my head because it hurts! Is that really so much to ask?

Rumours ARE true, and it IS called Tomb Raider. Looks like they took out at least (Shiva's) Fury, and probably Great Whale of China too. Although it looks REALLY small next to Top Gun.

So, goodbye to two childhood memories. Unless they just moved them, but I doubt it.

Fury and Whale are indeed gone for the 2004 season. Whale might return in 2005 but probably not.
