Paramount and Carowinds

Just curious, does anyone know when it was that Paramount took over Carowinds?

1992 - Paramount acquisition

1983 - Kings Entertainment formed by Taft managers, buys interest in the park

1974 - Acquired by Family Leisure Entertainment (major owner was Taft Broadcasting)

1973 - Open to the public on March 31

1971 - First scheduled opening date

1969 - Carowinds Theme Park announced by Charlotte businessman, E. Pat Hall

Carowinds was not officially a Paramount Park until 1993, but Paramount purchased the park in 1992.

1993 was also the year that theming began to slip.
