paramount kings dominion : almost a disaster

well, we arrived in virginia on sunday. at about 5:30 i decided to go to pkd. this was a big mistake.

i went on line for hypersonic.after a half hour it started to rain, so they shut the ride down until about 7:00 . i still waited in line. when they opened the ride back up they ran about 15 rides until one of the restraints go stuck.when the fixed the ride it was about 8:00 but they wouldn't open the ride because a storm was approaching .i waited for a hour and then decided to leave. before i left i went to guest relations and told them i didnt get on any rides and the rest of the story, so they gave me free tickets for another day.

so i went again on tuesday
this was a complete success. i got on every coaster. i will rate each one from 1-10


hypersonic xlc : 10/10

volcano :9.5/10

anaconda: 7/10

hurler: 8/10

grizzly: 6.5/10

rebel yell: 5/10

avalanche: 4/10

flight of fear: 6.5/10

shockwave : 2/10 i hated this ride


after all it was a really fun trip.

How did you convice guest realations to give you free tickets?

P.S Not to be picky but you really need to think about capitalizing proper nouns! This is Coasterbuzz, not other boards.

WOW, I'm suprised you actually had the nerve to go to Customer relations and ask for Free Tickets, For a start, you arrive at 5.30(Why go Late anyway????) and go to HyperSonic and stay there the whole time trying to get on, not even tempting to go on other rides. You must have given they a real convincing story to let them give you free tickets????

Not to bash you further, but its obvious you didnt tell them the Full Truth, cause If I was in Customer Relations, I would have definatly refused you Free Tickets, cause I could have argued to you why didnt you attempt to ride any other rides when you easily could have done. And it was'nt PKD's Fault you couldnt get to ride HyperSonic, They dont have control over the whether.

Paul D, two things about your spelling a) definitely b) weather. b) was spelled correctly, but you used the wrong meaning of the word.

The day I was there at PKD I heard that one of Hypersonic's restraints got stuck also. Turns out that it wasn't a rumor after all.

PaulD, what's the problem here? 

Any company in their right mind would've done the same thing.  A guy goes to your park, pays to get in and can't ride.  Maybe a lot of it was his fault, but would you rather have someone walk away angry and possibly not return, or would you as a buisness let that person come back another day, spend more money, go away happy, and come back again?

BTW, it's not tempting to go on other rides, it's attempting.
