Paragon Park Coaster Pics

Check them here.

Thought these might be nice for anyone who remembers this coaster, and the thrill of seeing it when you rounded that last turn into Hull, MA.

Wish I could, but only some lucky people had the chance (I'm guessing you were one of them.). Wasn't it moved to what is now SFA, or am I completely off?

Interestingly enough, the only picture of the original Giant Coaster is the black and white one at the top of the page. All the other photos are of Wild One, Giant Coaster's reincarnation at SFA. And mother of God, that atrocious music is loud.

Still those pics of Wild one back in the AW days are sort of nostalgic seeing as how the layout has been reprofiled a bit in the days since some of the pics were taken, not to mention how much the park itself has changed since then.

I really want to see some pics of what the ride looked like at it's original home however, but so far no luck in that dept.

Just one question, what ever became of the original site of Paragon park? when Opryland closed they built a shopping center on the property.

A close friend of ours from the Boston area actually got to RIDE "Giant Coaster"...he's NO enthusiast, but brightened up up a bit when we told him the ride was still running, and still giving great rides....

Here are a few more pix of the park, with various shots of the coaster in them. Some are only postcards though.

I rode it as a kid at Paragon Park (but after it lost the final helix, I believe in a fire). There is something about a beach coaster - ocean breeze, seedy boardwalk - that you never forget.
That's cool - my parents always talked about going to that park as kids. Heck, i think my grandmother's even had a ride!

I didn't know it was still running elsewhere - that's good news to me.

On a similar note, does anyone have any pics of the old Revere Beach coaster? I know it's been down for quite some time, but if anyone had some i'd love to see them. Supposedly it was taken down because it was just too dangerous, but that's probably just a rumor.
