Parachute Drops

Does anyone know what parks have these?

The only two I can think of that are in operation are Six Flags Over Georgia's Great Gasp and Six Flags Over Texas's Shootout.

Also, does Great Adventure still have theres or what?

Is the SFoG ride still there? I was under the impression it was not.

Welcome "aboard" Wicked Twister. Please keep your hands and arms inside the midway at all times.

Knoebel's has a smaller version.

All I need is 4.5 million bucks and a half a mile long sliver of land and maybe someone could build me my very own Shivering Timbers. ;)

Korakuen Amusement Park in Japan has one. Very fun! Weeee!

Great Adventure has one but, it is was closed when I was there. California Adventure has a much shorter version.
I have been going to Sixflags Great Adventure for years now ,and I do not want to ride the parachty drop!, im too paranoide of the heights added with the gust of wind, and the small tiny wires that bring you to the top, plus the long line, I just never get on,but Im ganna try ,and face my fear next time I visit, and if its open im ganna wait out the line, and get on, becuase I prop missing out on a nice little ride.

Yes, and I am very proud to say that SFOG has it running nearly every day. But, the ride was modified to only allow 4 parachutes to be in operation at once, which means long lines. You can't really take any good pictures of it, because normally only one parachute is in the air at a time.

I've heard Little A-Merrick-A got one this year.
Pleasure Island, Cleethorpes UK has one

SFGADV has one, SFOG has one, SFOT I believe has one, Knoebels has a mini, PKD has a mini. KBF just took theirs out in the last few seasons although the skytower in it's center still remins.

Yeah, SFoT has one... a rather fun little ride!

Now, the "so-called restraints"... now, they're another story!

-----------------

SFOT had stand-up buckets on Chute Out until the mid-90's. This was, by far, the best way to ride. The restraints on the sit-down chutes have never really bothered me.

"Look, we all go way back, and uh, I owe you from the thing with the guy in the place and I'll never forget it." "That was our pleasure." "I'd never been to Belize."

Knott's Berry Farm's Parachute Sky Jump was the first modern parachute drop tower since the days of old Coney Island.

The parachutes were removed in 1999 due to low ridership and high maintenance costs, but the actual tower and rotating Sky Cabin remains.

Personally, I think Parachute Drops look good.

But, I don't think that the versions that also have a Space Needles hooked on look good. They look to cheap.

Knott's should completely chop off the Sky Jump section of there tower. It doesn't look good without parachutes coming down from it.

Does Intamin still manufacture them?
