The plan to essentially move comes after last year's problems with local officials when they attempted to build a coaster, acquire more land and extend their lease.

I overheard some things at IAAPA last year... saw this coming. That's one way to smack it to your local government... take your business elsewhere!

I'd like to know how much land was purchased. Hopefully they plan on moving all the existing rides over to the new park over the next 12 years. This is going to be interesting.

Way to go! I, too, hope they take come of the classic rides along with them.

I hope other communities begin to respect the tax revenue generated by parks and that having them there is a plus to the community. I hope this serves as a warning to all those who attempt to say "Not in my backyard!" Fine. Put it in mine, my local economy sure could use the pick up and I the coasters it would bring.
