over theming on a coaster?

Has anyone been on a coaster or any ride that was way over themed? for me, that would be this ride at DCA called Superstar limo, it was scary looking, bright, and very ccccccccchhhhhhhhhheeeeeessssssssssssssyyyyyyy!!!!
I hope they'd tear it out for the tower of terror. And bye the way, I saw a sign that said Millionaire would be open in Sept. 2001. Can't wait to see what it is!!
I've never seen a coaster over-themed, I think it's just a great added effect. Even rides that are heavily themed, you tend to know that going in, so that's more of what you expect. The only ride I can think that might qualify would be Rock'n'Rollercoaster, but I can't say this from personal experience as I've never been on it...

After riding Alpengeist, I decided that theming coasters/parks WAS the profession I always wanted (will until I get to, and I'm 34). Dueling Dragons only confirmed it. Theming is a great way to tell the "story" behind the ride, and is a way to occupy the guest while they're waiting in a line.
I agree gatorwoodie.
I don't think there is such a thing as too much theming.

Haven't seen Superstar Limo though, but I suspect the problem isn't that it's overthemed but just poorly themed.
