Well the Caskey clan is less than 72 hours away from our departure into the great unknown (to us anyway) coasterlands of the great mid and upper midwest. Our journey will take us to four parks, three of which we'll be attending for the first time. The parks will include:
Six Flags St. Louis:
We attended this park two years ago, pre "Boss". That coaster is the main reason for returning this trip. We'll also be seeing Charlie Daniels and 38 Special and a Reds/Cardinals baseball game while in STL.
We will be first timers in the remaining parks.
Big Chief's Cart and Coaster World:
I've alway's been intriged about this collection of CCI woodies. Was also able to secure a fun looking waterpark hotel for the kids to enjoy for two days in the Dells.
Six Flags Great America:
I'm excited about Raging Bull. My only disappointment is that my nine year old will be unable to ride this and many of this parks coasters due to being only 52 inches tall. My 12 year old doesn't enjoy coasters as much as the 9 year-old. We are all woodie fans and are very excited about ridding the EAGLE and VIPER. I'm also looking forward to ridding the Schwarzkopf at this park, Whizzer.
Indiana Beach:
I'm really looking forward to this small, traditional park. I love classic dark rides. This park features three. I'm also excited about riding the Hoosier Hurricane and Cornball Express. I happy to have read all of the great posts on this coaster.
Thanks to everyone who has helped through posts, information and opinions which have assisted me in the planning this trip. I even received entry passes for an attraction from one very gracious poster.
Any last minute advice, or "not to miss" sights, attractions or rides during our trip will be greatly appreciated.

It was a BB gun!
Who's the moosiest moose we know? Marty Moose!
It'd be much more realistic if you went to Magic Mountain, though. ;)
Mr. Caskey - if you dig dark rides (like I do), then Indiana Beach IS the place for you. What a special park - you can just SENSE the traditon there, all the years families have been coming, pulling in late to one of the dozens of motels in the area (the lake is a popular resort), parents awoken too early by their kids the next day - too excited to sleep in, heading to the park, getting back at dark to jump in the pool ... My wife and I were just talking about IB last night, and how we'd love to go back (sigh). Maybe next year. There's nothing like a good old-fashioned boardwalk - and while you're there, you gotta check out their Chance Yo-Yo over the water - a genuine thrill ride that takes you by surprise.
