Other Extreme Thrills

I do extreme skiing and freestyle skiing. Go 35mph+ off a jumps do some twists in the air and landing perfectly is pretty extreme. Skiing backcountry where it is so steep you create avalanches when you turn is extreme as well. That makes the no-coaster season tolerable.

I have bungee jumped twice.Once i went by my ankles but,the first time i went by my waist. It was about 9 years ago and i did it from the boardwalk in Seaside Heights NJ.They had it set up so you headed straight down over the ocean.I Figured if the cable snapped at least i was going to hit water and not solid ground although,i am sure water would be just as painful. It was an awesome experience and,one i'd love to do again but,it has pretty much been banned in NJ so,closest im going to get is daredevil dive at SFgadv but,I think that's a bit expensive and, probably not as good as bungee jumping. If i want the feeling of flying like on the daredevil dive,i'll just go to six flag America in MD and ride Batwing!I would love to skydive but,i don't think i'll ever have the funds and,my husband probably wouldn't let me because we have kids.

I have bungee jumped a few times myself. It is a rush uncomparable to a roller coaster. Freefalling from 150' just can't be beat.

What is life without ups and downs!?!?
I have bungee jumped, and tried the skycoaster. My favorite non rollercoaster ride would be The Big Shot at the Stratosphere Casino in Las Vegas. Thats an intense ride. First ride that I ever closed my eyes on. I had to ride it twice just so I could absorb the view. I sure hope those rumors are true about the rollercoaster going down the side of that casino. That would be a great ride. *** This post was edited by Coaster Fantom on 4/8/2001. ***
Speaking of Daredevil Dive, how are them sky coasters? I've always wanted to ride one, and I usually pass it up at Great Adventure because I am low on cash, but I really want to do it this year? Can anyone offer me their opinions on Skycoasters, and if they're worth it, and are scary as hell?

Skycoaster are worth the extra money. They give a really good thrill especially the 1st drop.

SFEG-*New For 2001* Carnival Of Chaos Batman Stunt Show. Wow.
I have a lifted truck and like to take it in thick, deep mud.

Thats a picture of my truck at it's muddiest. Mud bogging can be an expensive hobby when you break stuff. At least I do most of the work myself.

I don't think Skycoasters are worth the money. They are fun but they are'nt very thrilling or scary.

For me, it's definetely worth the money. It really is unbeatable to me. While I have not bunjee jumped, it looks like it could put some stress on your body, but with the skycoaster, the transition from free fall to swing in smooth as butter! I love it!
I snowboard (poorly ;) ) and I'm looking into rock climbing and tandem skydiving...

I get a huge rush from going into a big fat mosh pit! :) Whenever someone gets a broken nose, however, I know it's time for me to stand in the back. Yep, I'll admit it, I'm a big baby.
White water rafting and kayaking are great. Skydiving is absolutely the best and ultimate thrill. Scuba diving is great fun. I want to go flybywire and while i was in aust. I never got to do it and I was really upset. Bush leaping and pool leaping off roofs is cool. Mosh pits and crowd leaps and crowd surfing is great a lot of fun but very dangerous. I have had many fat lips, black eyes, two broken wrists and a broken nose. Very dangerous sometimes and I have extremely strong and tough bones and a tough body. I want to go base jumping and building jumping off skyscrapers and buildings into streets but buliding jumps are illegal everywhere and basejumping is illegal almost everywhere now. I want to go bungee jumping pretty badly and flybywire. Skycoasters are ok but not worth the 10 to 20 bucks that they cost. Parasailing is relaxing but not exciting at all and are actually very boring. I have a question for any that has been bungee jumping, does it hurt the ankles when u fall and then shoot straight up again? Just a simple question. Also, rock climbing and extreme mountain biking are not that great either. Long live the ultimate extreme sport, skydiving and base jumping, they are the extreme of the extremes.
