Orlando tourist visits up 5% this year

Central Florida's tourism economy sprang back in 2003 as a record 45 million people crowded into Orlando's golf courses and convention halls as well as its world-famous amusement parks. Overall, the area's visitor count rose almost 5 percent to 44.98 million.

I think that it's little surprise. The world's somewhat "over" terrorism, so the foreigners are starting to travel again. Couple this with the improved focus on regional and interstate guests and I guess you've got some pretty decent numbers coming in. I guess the trends that started with record attendance over New Years did equate to a brighter year in terms of attendance.
