Orlando theme parks see improvement in attendance, higher per capita spending

Business at Florida's three theme park giants is soft but steadily improving, thanks to an economic outlook top park executives think will get better through this winter's tourist season.

Hmmm, I wonder if IOA will crack 7 million this year. This is perhaps one of the few times Disney (even though they get much higher attendance) has benefited from IOA, and not the other way around

"Indeed, attendance at Universal Orlando leaped 36 percent in the first quarter after the park opened its dazzlingly detailed version of the Harry Potter book and movie franchise June 18."

That is a huge increase 36%. Good for them. That sounds like the best investment they ever made. I think they will see another small leap after tonight 11/18 because of the new movie and also i was reading that a bunch of the Rave Motion Picture places are puting in IMAX in alot of them and are opining them for the first time for the harry Potter 7 part 1 movie. sorry for that bla bla stuff but it interested me. hahaha

I live far from Flordia but i know a ton of people who have been going to the Harry Potter thing. They talk about it all the time and some of them are not big on that kinda stuff. :)
