Believe me, a good hotel is always more important to me than price, but when you can get a good hotel at a good price, that's even better. I make my living traveling and usually stay at Holiday Inn properties to take advantage of the points program. I then use the points for freebies on my coaster trips, but sometimes, if the points don't justify the dollars saved, that's when I look elsewhere, which is how I ended up at the Extended Stay. I've stayed at a few of them now and never been disappointed.

What time does the water show start?
I'm definitely staying there again in November for IAAPA.

I just checked the Extended Stay around the corner from Universal for next month.
Here's another vote for the Extended Stay properties. A little farther away than that one is a Studio Plus (in the same family) with a queen bed, a sofa sleeper, full kitchen (stove, oven, microwave, sink) and swimming pool for about $300 a week, even during spring break.
If cooking on your own, never forget that you're near the coast...seafood is cheap!

I attended a conference in 1999 at the Marriott World Resort - another beauty, but expensive.
Back in the 1980's, I stayed at the Royal Plaza in Lake Buena Vista/Downtown Disney. It too was very nice.
Some of us are always near the coast, not landlocked like the "Land of a Thousand Lakes" :)
