I'm going to SFStL in a few weeks and I wanted to know what some of you thought of the park.

I personally like the park. I make it there at least once a year. I have yet to go this year, but according to the other buzzer's who have, Mr Freeze with lapbars is awesome. I also am looking forward to Scooby. As far as the rides, this park has people who love them and hate them. I love Screaming Eagle and like The boss. Batman is a good ride even if you have ridden the others (it's a mirror image) and Ninja is a good looper. It has a good head chop as ou go under the lift but the ride is short and a little rough sometimes. All their water rides are fun. The Wave is your typical Shoot the Chute ride, as is their river ride. The flume is enjoyable although you don't get that wet. I understand they have a few new shows going so others will have to tell you about them.

I think it is a great park. It doesn't have a ton of coasters, but the main ones it does have are top notch (Boss, Mr. Freeze, Batman, Eagle). It's a beautiful location, and well run. This park will be a top park once it get's a hyper and a drop ride.

Nothing but the rumors we've all heard before. An Intamin or Morgan Hyper, and an Acrophobia clone. No need to discuss these, as it's 75% or more that they are JUST RUMORS for now. I do think they'll get these eventually though...it just maks sense, as they don't have these "must haves" yet.

The hillside setting of the park is attractive. The food was OK for a Six Flags. The staff was generally very good.

Mr. Freeze with lap bars is terrific. Batman is the same as everywhere else, but that's pretty darn good. Ninja is a pretty standard sort of Arrow looper. Less of a head banger that most. The mine train doesn't do much. Boss was a disappointment, rough and no air. IMO Screamin Eagle was a much better ride than Boss with some nice air, but it needs track work desperately.

The water park was pretty decent and a welcome opportunity to cool off since it was pushing 100 degrees the day that we were there.

I'll echo everything Jim said (except for the waterpark, we didn't go) The park is VERY clean for a Six Flags park. Scooby Doo is a MUST ride IMO.

Next to Twisted Twins, The Boss is the worst CCI I've ridden. A real disappointment.

Also, the lines were a surprise. The longest we waited was 45 minutes for Scooby Doo. Everything else was 15-20 minutes, and this was on a Saturday.

So many coasters, so little vacation time....

I liked my visit to SFStL this May. I found the setting to be very nice, as I'm fond of wooded parks that have some terrain. Probably one of the nicer Six Flags I've gone to in that department. It reminded me a lot of a smaller SFoG.

The coaster collection is pretty nice for a park of its size:

The Boss- IMO, The Boss is an excellent terrain woodie. This is an interesting coaster, as the opinions are always so polar. People either love it or hate. If you like your woodies rugged, The Boss is for you. Make sure to get in a night ride, as the double-down through the structure is just spectacular at night.

The park also sells really funny Boss t-shirts.

Mr. Freeze - This launched coaster rocks. The tophat is the best inversion I've yet to experience. If you're at the park when it opens, head here first, as this will probably be your longest wait (apart from Scooby).

B:TR - The mirror image Batman. I like these rides a lot, but being a mirror of the others didn't make it any more or less appealing to me.

Screamin' Eagle - Man, to have ridden this in the day. A cool dog-legged out and back ride through the woods that needs some TLC in a really bad way.

Ninja - A pretty so-so Vekoma looper, but it does have a cool head-chopper.

Mine Train (forget the official name right now) - Ok mine ride. Better that Trailblazer, but no Adventure Express.

Food - We found the big turkey legs by the Boss to be a great deal for $5, as they're a meal in themselves.
