Opinions on Midway Park and/or Sylvan Beach - worth the trip?

Gator and I must have caught the Fascination parlor on a better day. There were several people playing and the operator was even mixing it up with various games (including cover-all) and giving player bonus tickets for doing silly things like singing the alphabet.

And you also found Predator open...wanna pour more salt in my wounds? ;)

Someone posted a link and if you haven't checked it out, you'd be wise to do so. It's a great old Pretzel ride- not very long (maybe the size of Erieview's Fright Zone) but very well-maintained. Every stunt works flawlessly and from what I could tell, they're all original or rebuilt in the spirit of Cassidy.

You'd love Sylvan Beach, Bill. Love it.

^I did follow the link, and now I'm regretting not getting to Sylvan even more....Matt tells me we'll get it "next time". That trip should probably somehow get us to LaRonde, and maybe even (finally!) one of the Pipleine Express rides...

Sylvan certinaly looks like my kind of place...and I totally LOVED Erieview's Fright Zone. Midway? Well, I'm going to try and spend more time in Pittsburgh - I'd even like to try and find some employment there..

If you loved Fright Zone, you'll love Laffland. Laffland might have the edge, partially because it's still open and partially because it seemed to have more working stunts inside, but the time I spent at Sylvan and Erieview was separated by quite a few years so I can't say my opinion is all that valid.
