Opening Day crowds

In general will a Sat. opening day be more/less/the same crowded as an early season Sat.?

The legend lives!

I've found that the weather has more effect on attendance than the fact that it is opening day. For example, I expect that opening day at SFA will be slow tomorrow since it is supposed to be 60's and rainy. If it were 70's and sunny the crowd would be much larger.

First day of the season isn't a big deal to most people except us coaster geeks. The number of people on opening day will be increased if there is a major new ride of course, and may be increased even more if opening day falls during spring break.

Opening Day at Great Escape usually isnt that bad. Usually for the first few hours that the park is open, you dont even have to wait in aline, as it gets alittle past noon then the crowd starts to pick up, but really the first 2 weeks dont seem to be that bad.
