Open Invitation - K'nex Display - Long Island - Wednesday PM

Hello Everyone!

Just to note to say that my class' K'nex displays will be open for "public viewing" at a District-wide evnet called "Lights On For Education."

My kids and I built several standard K'nex rides such as The Ferris Wheel, Swing Ride, Boom Ride, Pirate Ship Ride, Classic Coaster (With a loop) and a Screamin' Serpent.

Other K'nex models include the Training Tower, the Big Ball Tower and the big Crane.

The main point of the display though is going to be the series of 7 main and 4 minor-sized bridges and the simple machines and solar powered models from those sets. The bridges will be set up with research and writng and a "Sky-Rail marble run" type of tracks will be used to simulate traffic on the bridges.

There will also be "frigits" to play with and the infamous K'nex Soma model to play with and solve.

The event is free and open to the public, but keep in mind that my display is only a tiny part of what our 3 elementary districts, 3 high schools and 1 junior high schools are offering. It's to really highlight education in our community and my K'nex displays are only a tiny part. (There are art, music, social studies, and E.L.A. and math displays from our many schools)

I thought that those of you with young or pre-teen children living within range might want to stop by.

Here are the details:
