So is the Jackrabbit gone?

No, it's staying up for the 2004 season, SBNO.

As much as it looks like there is no hope for the Jackrabbit, as long as it is SBNO there is some (albeit extremely small) hope that it may survive. Even I doubt that since the park pretty much plans to take it out. But if Clementon Lake makes enough money off the new coaster they may be swayed to fix Jackrabbit. Anything is possible. Although this is not probable.

Why are they deolishing Jack Rabbit? I figured that they were demolishing it to make room for Sunami, but I guess that that isnt the case.

It's pretty much beyond repair, unfortunately.
