One of Four Cords Snaps on Slingshot

Yes, that is right. I was watching the news and one of the four cords on the Slingshot ride at the Ohio State Fair snapped at around 8:00pm today. The couple on the ride turn out fine. This is pretty scary.............thank God they are ok! The makers of the ride are coming in from Florida tomorrow morning to check out how this happened.

Thats just it. It isn't a big deal. It's sensationalism.

Well obviously no one was hurt, there were 3 other cords holding them in. I was aware that sling shots only had 3 cords.

No what your tihnking is a Vertigo from S&S a slingshot is a older style of this ride. It has two towers holding I guess 4 Bungee cords (Where if one breaks there's a backup for safety). The cords are raised up the two towers while the car is held down by a pin. when the cords reaach the top, the car would be released and shot up into the sky.
