Omaha/Council Bluffs' New Park

It looks like the rumored park coming to Omaha/Council Bluffs may be coming true.

I can't turn up the sound here at work, so all I've got to say is:

What is up with that city councilman's bow tie?!?

WOW! Who knew there were black people in Council Bluffs? :)

One things pretty sure though, despite what the video shows, I doubt very seriously that they will be getting an "X" type ride ;)

By looking at the artist's rendering [which we all know are always accurate - not!] I see three coasters: a Cyclone-ish woodie on the left, a mouse at the back of the park, and some type of steel coaster [at right] with seemingly no lift hill [launched, perhaps?].

It would be nice to see the park be built *and* it would also be nice if a section of the park would pay homage to Omaha's defunct park, Peony Park.

Hey Jeremy, I have a black friend who lives in Iowa. She moved there with her white husband. But she's used to it, she went to school for four years in Maine. She said she never saw a single black person on campus, ever.

I to hope that this new park will pay some sort of homage/respect to Peony Park.

Most younger people in Omaha have no idea what Peony Park was.
