I dunno about worldwide, however the oldest park I think in the U.S. is some park in Connecticut, and Cedar Point is the 2nd oldest in the U.S.

Oldest in the world is Tivoli Gardens in Denmark and the oldest in the United States in Lake Compounce.  Home of the #1 wooden roller coaster in the world!:)

Bob: Well I never actually "Rode it" but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

This list is misleading. Many of these parks did indeed open on the date listed, but they opened as picnic, swimming and rowing sites. If you specify the first installed mechanical motorized ride, which I suggest is the beginning of an actual amusement park, many of the early parks would be pushed back into the 20th century, and some of the others would take their places as true pioneers.
