Old SFGAm: Sky Trek Tower...

Ok, so I noticed on the artwork on the wall behind the carousel that there was a painting of the Sky Trek Tower. It was painted blue. Just out of curiousity, when was it blue, and when did they change the color of it?

I don't think it was ever blue.

Perhaps it was just "artistic license"???

My parents have pictures from when the park opened. The sky trek cabin looked like it was two stories, and it was blue, just like the top of the tower, looked like that block. Just ask Chi-Town or something, he probably knows.

While I don't remember it being blue (I think it was always white) I do remember it looked better when it had the old logo on the bottom of the car. The sky trek tower is always the first thing that rises over the horizon as I approach the park on I-94 southbound from Wisconsin. I always remember it being white.

No major changes have ever been done to Sky Trek Tower. It never had a 2-story cabin and its always been red. The only change I can think of is the logo on the bottom of the cabin. Obviously changed from Marriott to Six Flags.

The cabin at PGA is BLUE. Maybe that says something.

Chitown is right, The tower has always been white and the cabin always has been red. The only change that was made was when Six Flags purchased the park and removed the Marriott logo and put the Six Flags logo on the bottom of the tower. It also received new cables in the winter of '99 for the tower drive at the top of the cabin to the top and inside of the tower to the counter weight.

I never meant the actual tower being blue, I meant the cabin, or at least the top of the tower it was blue.(you know that little block at the top?? cmon guys I know you know what im talking about, no attitude here) The pictures are put away but I remember it clearly, but they are old pictures too.

I said cabin. I didnt mention the tower at all.

I dont remember any of the STT being blue but who knows? If you got a pic, I would love to see it.
